| All, As briefly indicated in the email I sent yesterday regarding today’s WG meeting agenda, I am really happy to share a new proposal for creating the Eclipse Tahu project. Eclipse Tahu is all about making MQTT suitable for use in IIoT and SCADA systems, and I think it will be a nice addition to our Industry 4.0 portfolio. It delivers a specification (called Sparkplug) as well as a set of libraries/code samples. The Sparkplug specification defines the MQTT topic namespace, payload definition, session and state management required to make MQTT applicable for real-time, mission critical SCADA/IIoT systems. Eclipse Tahu provides client libraries implementing the Sparkplug specification as well as sample applications. BTW, some of you may remember some of the people behind the Tahu project, as they were all involved one way or the other in the early days of the Eclipse M2M Working Group - we are really excited to have Wes, Ched, and Arlen back in the game!
