The Eclipse IOT Integration Group met in Berlin on Feb 19 and 20 to discuss how to foster the integration among the Eclipse IoT projects.
The outcomes of the meeting are summarized below.
- Representatives from Eclipse Hono, Eclipse Kapua, and Eclipse Kura confirmed their interest in a tighter integration across these projects
- A design document was agreed upon detailing the MQTT/AMQP messaging contract that will be adopted across the three projects
- By EclipseCON EU 2018, Eclipse Hono, Eclipse Kapua, and Eclipse Kura will provide an updated release which follows such contract
- The three projects will also provide joint installation and deployment instructions to ease the setup of the integrated stack
- The Eclipse IOT Integration Group will also discuss with interested parties the possibility of a new Eclipse IoT testbed developed over the integrated stack
- The bi-weekly call of the Eclipse IOT Integration Group will used to track the progress
- A new round of integration efforts will be discussed at the Unconference at ECE 2018
