[iot-sp] IoT Server Platform Meeting Minutes - Jan 21

All,

Here is a summary of the meeting on January 21.

1. Cloud Foundry IoT PMC
- Unfortunately Steve Winkler nor Chip Childers were on the call so no 
update was provided.

2. Eclipse IoT Connector Project Proposal
- The project proposal is now live on the Eclipse Foundation site. The 
new project name is Eclipse Hono.

- Siemens has requested to be listed as an interested party. SAP will 
investigate internally.
- Next step for the project is for it to be officially created. Kai will 
send a request for a creation review.
- Kai H will organize a face-2-face kick-off meeting for sometime in 
February in Berlin.

3. Hosting a CF Instance
- GE has offered to setup a CF instance. It was agreed that activity 
will start when we have code to run on a CF instance.

4. Next Meeting
- The next meeting will be Thursday, Feb. 4 at 8amPT/11amET.
- In the future, it was discussed we might move this communication and 
meetings into the Eclipse Hono project. A final decision will be made 
once the Eclipse Hono project has been setup, including the mailing lists.
