[iot-sp] IoT Server Platform Meeting Minutes - Jan 6

All,
Here is a summary of the meeting on January 6.
1. Cloud Foundry IoT PMC
- Unfortunately Steve Winkler and Chip Childers were not on the call so
no update was provided.
2. Eclipse IoT Connector Project Proposal
- Kai Hudalla has sumbitted the project proposal to the Eclipse
Foundation. The proposal has Bosch and Red Hat listed as co-leaders for
the project. It was still unclear the level of involvement for GE and
others. The next step is for the Eclipse Foundation to approve the
proposal for posting to the community. ACTION: Ian Skerrett will work
with Wayne Beaton and Mike Milinkovich to get the proposal posted as
soon as possible.
- Bosch has already started development in a private GitHub repository.
We discussed the option of making this a public repository so the
collaborative developer can start as soon as possible. ACTION: Ian
Skerrett will clarify what Bosch would need to do to make sure the code
can be easily migrated to the Eclipse project once it is created.
3. Hosting a CF instance
- Based on an email from Steve Winkler, GE has offered to setup a CF
instance on AWS. Next step seems to be making this happen. ACTION: Ian
and Kai will reach out to Steve Winkler to see when this can get started.
4. Next Meeting
- The next meeting will be January 21 at 11amET/17:00CET. Ian Skerrett
will send out a meeting invitation.
