[iot-sp] Meeting Minutes for IoT Server Platform

Thanks for all who participated in the meeting today.  Here are the 
minutes/action items from the meeting.

Action Items:
1. Steve Winkler will bring forward a proposal to create a new PMC at 
the Cloud Foundry Foundation. The purpose of the PMC will be to drive 
forward the requirements and host any code required by CF to host 
Eclipse IoT services.
2. The goal is to create a proof of concept for March. We discussed 
where we would host the Cloud Foundry instance. Steve Winkler suggested 
two options: 1) Create an Industrial Internet Consortium testbed to host 
the proof of concept, or 2) GE might be able to host the CF instance.  
Steve Winkler will investigate both options.
3. The CF router project needs to finish their TCP implementation and 
then work on UDP support. UDP is needed to run Eclipse Leshan. Chip 
Childers will setup a meeting with Kai, Steve and the CF router project 
leader, Shannon Coen.
4. Kai Hudalla updated the group on the IoT Connector project. Bosch 
plans to propose an Eclipse project to build the IoT Connector. They 
will also reach out to Red Hat to encourage their collaboration. The 
Eclipse project proposal should be available in the next 1-2 weeks.
5. Benjamin and Kai have done some work to have Eclipse Mosquitto run on 
Cloud Foundry. There is a concern that Mosquitto might not be able to 
scale to the meet the 'cloud-scale' requirements. Benjamin will set-up a 
discussion with the Mosquitto project leader and Kai.
6. For the proof of concept, we need to have a demo scenario to 
implement on the proof of concept.  Ian will provide a link to the IIC 
testbeds to give an idea of the use cases that have been implemented.

Next Meeting:
- We agreed to have a meeting every 2 weeks on Friday at 
8amPT/11amET/17:00CET. The next meeting will be Dec. 4.  Ian will update 
the calendar entry.
