Ok, so looking into the source code of COSE I can see your troubles.

Still, simply packaging it up under "org.eclipse" seems like the wrong thing to
do, IMHO.

But I think if you would package this up under a package name like:
com.augustcellars.cose or org.eclipse.californium.com.augustcellars.cose, then
this would be more clear, that this is not project content. Both variants would
not clash with the existing package name.
