Re: [iot-pmc] Reminder to approve committer vote for Claudio Mezzasalma
Well, the attached screenshot shows that Claudio contributed 46 commits to the initial version of project. Out of 667 total. So yeah, I guess we can call it significant contribution ;) . You can't see this in the Eclipse repository, as commits have been squashed, but this is the fact.

In general adding Claudio as a project committer now (after few weeks of initial contribution) is not much different than adding him to the initial list of contributors. That's why I think that we should not be too formal here. I don't work for EuroTech, so I have not other interest in Claudio joining the Kapua than being extremely happy that somebody is dedicated to contribute to the project and willing to make it easy for him to continue contributing.

Right, but the problem is that maybe in 5 years time nobody will remember why - so having some proof written down is always helpful!

It would be more helpful to show his valuable contributions to the project since it has been open-sourced (imho this is what Julien referred to), I would hope that there are some?

Claudio contributed significantly to the code original code donated to eclipse. I can recall about 40 of his commits or something like this.

Since committers are elected on merit, it's important to show it during the nomination process, you can follow this HOWTO:
