Subject: [ide-dev] Highlights for 2025-06 Eclipse IDE landing page
Hi all,
The Eclipse IDE landing page highlights key features from every new release.
Please see the landing page for the past release - https://eclipseide.org -
for example.
Similar to the previous releases, I would like to gather inputs from the community on features that can be highlighted on the page for 2025-06 release. The content that I have curated so far are :
Improved Java Development Tooling : Improved code folding with custom folding regions, improved instanceof
cleanup handling null checks and return/throw, enhanced inline refactoring for lambda expressions, and a new Collapse Stack Frames option in Debug View to hide irrelevant frames.
Improved Plug-in Development Tooling : New OSGI resolution view with side-by-side bundle comparison, search filters to find specific dependencies, split package detection, and
clipboard support.
Improved Platform : Support for scalable SVG icons, improved SWT algorithm for disabled icon generation,
automatic monitor-specific UI scaling enabled by default and a New option to add custom labels to breakpoints.
We encourage you to share any additional developments or features that you believe should be highlighted on the landing page for this release. We appreciate your feedback and suggestions.
Thanks and Regards
Elsa Zacharia
