Ram,

1) Yes, this shows a form for setting up Nek5000 input with ICE in Vaadin (not launching Nek5000). You are correct that it uses a local connection to a Core, and in principle it should work just fine with a remote OSGI service too. The only thing we changed was the UI - so everything other than the graphics should work as expected. (Although, this isn't a headless version - we haven't merged those branches yet.)

2) Yes, that sounds correct. We could tighten the final statement a bit that Vaadin + ICE + OSGI are demonstrated in this bundle.

Jay, I had noted the comment in ticket #355 and I am currently working on the proposal and can't check out the bundle immediately. I just had a few questions to make sure I understood the setup correctly.

1) The current work shows a Nek UI in Vaadin and where the Core is local. So after connecting to the Core, we should be able to navigate to this form?

2) With the headless ICE build for the Core, I should then be able to work towards enabling remote connections to it with an EDEF file, based on our earlier discussions. Vaadin with OSGi are already demonstrated through the bundle you had linked to. Does this sound right?

If that's the case, I don't foresee needing anything else right now.
