Re: [hono-dev] Hono lead: a step back

Thanks Paolo. I just want to reiterate what others already said and thank you for all the great work you’ve done over the past couple of years.

I’ll give my best to help moving the project forward. I hope to see you back to your DNA soon as exciting times are ahead of us :)

Hi Paolo,

you know that I would love to have you back, working on IoT right now! :)

I also think Dejan would be a great new co-lead for Hono, that is why I already started the process. So if the Eclipse Hono committers agree, it would be great to give your +1 and state why you think Dejan would fit that role:

All that I can say to Paolo is: thanks for all your work, and be back soon!

Cheers
Jens

Hi Kai,

thanks for the kind words, it was great to work with you all contributing at Hono.
Anyway, I will continue to follow the project evolution even because IoT is in my DNA :)
Happy that you agree on Dejan proposal; it seems Jens already started the process.

Cheers,
Paolo

I agree that it is desirable for a project lead to be more actively involved in
the project from a development point of view and I can therefore understand that
you feel it is time to "hand over the helm" :-)
I think I can speak for the community that we would very much like to keep you as
committer on the Hono project and that we hope that you will find some time again
to help us evolving Hono even further.

I agree, I fully support that proposal and I hope the rest of the committers will
as well.

Thanks a lot for your service as project lead and for your valuable contributions
to Hono, Paolo! I really appreciate it. Are you going to start the project lead
election with the Eclipse Foundation and indicate to them that you will step back
from the project lead role?
