[hono-dev] UPDATE: Hono face-to-face in Berlin

Hi,

I have received some requests to consider having our face-to-face meeting for Hono in Berlin after Easter, i.e. in April instead of March.
Based on these requests I have added options so that we now have the following updated time slots:

b) March 21st/22nd or
c) March 22nd/23rd or
d) March 23rd/24th or
e) March 31st/April 1st or
f) April 4th/5th or
g) April 5th/6th or
h) April 6th/7th or
i) April 7th/8th

I have dropped the "early" March option because we will probably not be able to organize the workshop on such short notice anyway.
Please indicate your general interest and which options would work for you until Friday March 4th, 2016 10 AM CET by private mail to me (address see footer).

Mit freundlichen Grüßen/ Best regards

Subject: [hono-dev] Hono face-to-face in Berlin

Dear friends of Hono,

as indicated already in a previous mail on the IoT Working Group mailing list and on the IoT Server Platform calls I would like to start planning for the Face to Face meeting we want to have to discuss and define some guiding principles for the design and implementation of Hono and maybe also agree on some basic architecture and initial road map.

For this purpose I would like to invite all initial contributors, committers and interested parties to the Bosch Software Innovations headquarters in Berlin for a one and a half days workshop :-)

The first step is to determine whether there is general interest in attending such a workshop and then to find a timeframe that suits at least the most relevant participants. It will probably not be possible to make this work with everybody's calendar, sorry for that.

I am currently envisioning the following slots

a) March 16th/17th or
b) March 21st/22nd or
c) March 22nd/23rd or
d) March 23rd/24th

In any case we would probably start at noon on the first day (leaving you time to travel to Berlin on that day, if appropriate) while finishing around 4 or 5 PM on the second day.

Now I need your help: would you please send an email to me directly (email address see below) and indicate whether you

1) are interested in attending and thus would take on you the burden of travelling to beautiful Berlin ;-) and
2) which of the options would work for you (the more the better)

Please respond by Mar 1st 9:00 AM CET so that we can then start organizing the venue etc.

Please also note that participation will be limited to some extent (we are not hosting an EclipseCon ;-)) and that the contributors and committers will enjoy "preferred seating" if you will.

So, in any case, let me know what you think and what you would like to see covered in the workshop so that we can come up with a reasonable agenda once we have everybody on board.

Looking forward to seeing you guys in Berlin!!!

Mit freundlichen Grüßen/ Best regards
