Introducing Attribute-Based Credentials (ABCs) at project description,
the major property was described as
"ABCs allow their holder to transform them into a new credential that
contains only a subset of the attributes contained in the original credential."
Proofs of knowledge (protocols) allow for more functionality,
that may be interesting but does not quite fit such a definition.
For example, it could be proved that
an attribute is the same as that in another credential,
still giving no other clue on the value of that attribute.
"A systematic security analysis of available ABC protocols and systems"
was named a major expected project outcome,
making it quite interesting.
"ABC Federation and Interchangeability" might happen to be a challenging target
because of very different number-theoretic assumptions at the core of underlying protocols.
