It seems that Cardspace does support PIN protecting a managed card, not sure why but they do. The documentation only talks about PIN protecting personal cards though

Hi Tie,
Why do you think both card types should should support PIN code? As
far as I know Cardspace doesn't support PIN protection for managed
cards.
