well... i think our implementation to be improved (has a problem itself ;-) 
if it cannot deal with such "problems" in the files!

Anyway, most probably the cause lies in the silly file permissions when a 
user is in multiple VOs as Mariusz said (*), but we should be able to 
better handle/report that case to the users! don't you agree?

(*) we can query/see those permissions using dpm-ns from a gLite UI, i will 
take a look later
