Re: [flux-dev] Dirigible in context of Flux

Hi Martin,

I can confirm now, that Dirigible want and can join CDP initiative at Eclipse. We can start the alignment discussions about what we have now and what is our target. Do you have plan how all this will be organized and when?

Regards,
Nedelcho

Hey Nedelcho,

thanks for the additional details about Dirigible. Do you have any plans for the future of Dirigible? Do you maybe wanna join the area of cloud development tooling at Eclipse to work together with the Flux, Flare, and Orion teams? I am not sure how exactly these bits and pieces would fit together, but I am sure that joining forces in some areas could make a lot of sense. Any plans/thoughts in this direction?

Cheers,
-Martin

Such Java development we see complementary and can fit perfectly for the underlying services concept (atomic services in Flare), which can be used afterwards by the higher level “business modules” in dynamic languages. As of now for them we have to use on premise IDEs and to bundle them in the Dirigible’s Runtime module or at least to deploy them together.
