Re: [europa-build-workshop] Europa and Subversion

Thomas,
You are correct - if you move the code outside the eclipse.org servers
and then want to move it back, you have to go through the whole IP
vetting process from scratch. The issue (the same issue with an external
wiki) is in guaranteeing the modification history of any item. On the
eclipse.org servers we know we can track it - on other servers we (the
Foundation) cannot know that.
Other than that, it's a great idea :-)

Pete,
The thought did occur to me but I think there are some legal issues
when Eclipse projects are hosted outside of Eclipse.org. I know for
sure that they were not very happy when we hosted our own Wiki. So
thanks, but I think I'll wait until Denis has the Eclipse SVN ready.

Thomas,
If you prefer to set up with SVN repositories now, why not just set
up a SVN repository on Google <http://code.google.com/>Code
<http://code.google.com/>? Then move back to the Eclipse Foundation
repositories when Denis is ready.
I can't see how anything would be lost by doing this. The cost of a
Google Code SVN repository is nothing.
