Dear Dana,

ESF has been developed in the past in the context of providing additional safety related aspects like a Hazard and risk analysis to UML modelers like Papyrus [1]. We planned to use in the context of the Papyrus extension Papyrus for Robotics [2], but it is finally not depending on ESF. ESF concepts are described for instance in [3].

There have been limited to no activities recently, but CEA is currently doing a new implementation of ESF concepts in SysMLv2 (this is also the case for the Robotics extensions). We will certainly have a look at the Safety process and operations guide that you mention. CEA is also involved in SDV related projects for which the safety aspects are very relevant. Dear Eclipse Safety Framework project team,

My name is Dana and I'm a Process Engineer for the Eclipse Foundation, working mainly on the Automotive projects, with a special attention to those involved in safety-critical development.

I've only recently come across your project. Given its name and outline, and the obvious connection to my work, I want to better understand the Eclipse Safety Framework project—specifically, what it does, its roadmap, and current status.
Pointers to further material about the project would be appreciated.

Also, I am not sure if you're aware of the Eclipse Foundation Functional Safety Process and its associated Operations Guide, but both refer to the Eclipse Trustable Software Framework project as a safety approach and as a support for monitoring safety compliance.

A call to establish a connection and potentially explore cross-project collaboration would be very welcomed.
