Hi Martijn,

Please select the version listed in the instructions that you're already referring to.

This ensures that we all use the same version of Eclipse. New versions may use different conflicting versions of third party dependencies, may have different Java settings and requirements, etc. You could potentially thus run into all kinds of issues. We do not have the resources to support development on multiple Eclipse versions, and thus only support one version. To avoid overhead, we expect to upgrade one or maybe two times a year, but not 4 times a year.

Hi all,

 

I’m setting up the Eclipse developer environment on my MacBook. I’m following the development environment setup steps as described here. It indicates that I should select the 2021-06 product version of the Eclipse Platform. But I notice that I can already select the 2021-09 version from the Eclipse Installer. Could I safely select this September version, I would you recommend me to get the June version for now and update later.
