Re: [equinox-dev] Move the equinox incubator to RT

All projects that we move to RT will actually be copied from their current location in CVS to their new location in the RT Equinox incubator. The old content will remain in the old repository. After all the projects have been copied to the new location we will tag the old incubator repository with a final tag and then delete all the content from HEAD for each project and place a readme file in the HEAD for each project to indicate that the project has been moved to RT or is has been abandoned. The old content will still be available for the old projects but you will have to get the content from one of the old tags (or the final tag).

If you are going to do some consolidation then I recommend you do it before the move so we can have the new projects you want ready before we do the copy to RT. Otherwise we are just going to copy the current projects you want to RT and then you would have to do the consolidation in RT. This would result in some empty project directories in RT if you decided to get rid of a project.

Does that make sense?

Re: [equinox-dev] Move the equinox incubator to RT

Hi!

Just a question: If we don't move a particular project to the RT space,
what happens to it? Can it still be accessed somewhere or will it be
completely deleted?

The background of my question: We are currently discussing which
projects of the aspects incubator area to more to RT. There are some
projects that need some consolidation and the migration to RT might be a
good chance to do so.
