The current Declarative Services implementation (org.eclipse.equinox.ds) in Equinox is not stable.  It still needs work to be considered production ready.  ProSyst has recently offered to contribute their implementation of Declarative Services to Equinox (see https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=181733).

We anticipate this implementation will be the codebase maintained and supported in Equinox in the future.  Unfortunately this will not happen in time for the 3.3 release.

[equinox-dev] 3.3M6 DS status

Hi,

I was wondering what the status of Declarative Services is within the 3.3M6 build.  Are they functional/usable?

Thanks,
