Re: [equinox-dev] Embedding Equinox OSGi and EclipseStarter
|
Hi Peter,
Initial Provisioning in R4 defines how a Management Agent can get the
information for managing a Service Platform (it will get zip file(s)
containing info)) and how a Management Agent should deal with it
according to the contents of the zip file,
AFTER a framework launches and a Management Agent starts.
FrameworkAdmin is used for configuring and launching a framework in a
framework independent way.
If a developer configures bundles, which register ProvisioningService
and play a role of ManagementAgent, to be started and launch it by FrameworkAdmin,
what Initial Provisioning service spec specifies will be realized.
Using Initial Provisioning service or not depends on a client bundle or
Java application.
