Eike,
We'll only using the mailing list for approval of newly created components
(because there is no portal process for it). All votes to add committers
to existing components should be done via the portal to quote the comments
in the orginal note :-P and only folks who are committers on that component
will be allowed to vote. This prevents us from adding committers to your
component without your approval, perhaps while you're away on vacation, and
taking over! Hehehe!!
