Re: [elk-dev] Where's the Release?

Hello again,

the release is finally out. I just updated the downloads page. However,
due to time constraints, there's a few things missing that I would have
liked to have with the release:

1. Proper release notes. I guess we can build release notes in the
GitHub wiki, which we should do as soon as possible. Once we have them,
I'll put a link on the downloads page.

2. Getting Started Guides. Our only guide so far is out of date, which
is not good. I won't have the time to do anything about that at least
for this week.

3. A proper composite update site. While the build promotion (promoting
a nightly build to a proper release by copying things on the server) is
finally working, the Ant script we (would like to) use to manage the
composite update site is not. That means, we currently only have an
update site specific to this release. I guess I'll try and get a
non-restricted shell account on the build servers again and simply build
the bloody thing manually, once I get around to doing so.

(Somewhat tired) Cheers,
 Christoph Daniel
