Re: [egit-dev] Mylyn integration in EGit

I think your biggest challenge is going to be working out how people want to use Mylyn on a project (to which the answer will be is it depends...).

Some people will want to go the full hog: Each Mylyn task is a separate set of changes and it should stash (or commit?) and switch my changes as necessary.

Other people (who perhaps aren't as used to working with Mylyn and/or git) may use Mylyn as a way to switch which files are code is open but want to manage the switching of branches themselves.

Many people may want the combination of both of the above depending on what they are working on at that point in time - how to manage and support this without too much ui overhead is the challenge.

What would also be very nice (as an additional feature) would be to allow the integration of it with Gerrit.
Gerrit acts as a task repository returning either all "submitted changes" or "all changes for you" (or some other customer search) and is integrated well enough that switching to one of those tasks automatically checkout the relevant change path.
