Re: [ee4j-pmc] Mojarra changing Maven coordinates

Hi,

We took glassfish as per the convention that the implementation components are all called glassfish, and not just the server.

Kinda like Geronimo, where you have (had) the Geronimo server and the Geronimo components. I think this topic even came up in one of the calls were it was mentioned that if the spec components were moved from the eclipse-ee4j org, it could just as well be called eclipse-glassfish then.

I did notice though not everyone recognises this and some projects in the ee4j repo started to use org.eclipse indeed.

Kind regards,
Arjan

Hi,

I have no problem with the change of coordinates.
One question though: How tightly Is Mojarra coupled to GlassFish? Wouldn't it make more sense to use 'org.eclipse.mojarra:mojarra'?

Hi,

Mojarra currently has the org.glassfish:jakarta.faces coordinates, as per the old conventions for the RI. To not claim any specialness anymore, the Mojarra committers would like to change this to

org.glassfish.mojarra:mojarra

We would like to ask permission for this change. If no permission is required this can just be considered as a notice, though an okay from the PMC would still be appreciated.

Kind regards,
Arjan Tijms
