I misspoke (mistyped?). What I meant to say is that I'd like to float a name and get an initial impression. If the feedback on the call is positive, I'll call for a formal vote on the mailing list. This is how we do things in the Architecture Council (mostly to avoid the potential to embarrass a failed candidate).
