Re: [ee4j-community] GlassFish Tools

Sounds very cool. A sub-project of WTP is IMHO the best place indeed, good choice!

I'd personally really like to contribute to this tool, and indeed look at GlassFish (and Payara) 5 support.

Kind regards,

EE4J Community,

In conjunction with the broader effort for moving Java EE to Eclipse Foundation, Oracle would like to move GlassFish Tools for Eclipse over to Eclipse Foundation as well. To that end, I have created a proposal for a sub-project under WTP. I was torn on whether it should be a project under WTP or under EE4J. In the end, I settled on a sub-project of WTP that will release independently of the rest of WTP.

The initial contribution will include mature GF3 and 4 support. GF5 support would be the first line item post establishment.

Please comment on the proposal.
