Re: [ee4j-community] Deprecating EJB in Favor of CDI Services
|
The fact that Payara wants to invest in this is just awesome. For my part, I still need to talk to the other Guardians among many priorities what they would like to work on and what they would like to see me be working on. Sadly, I believe both our advocacy, evangelism and watchdog functions needs to remain strong for some time I am afraid.
Hopefully on this work there will be so many people interested that it will be very easy to divide and conquer.

Hi,
Indeed, I forgot @Lock. @Monitored is a good one too, might be a good candidate for a new management API, or perhaps directly in the MP Metrics API if/when it merges with EE4J. We may possible find some more things in EJB that are worth transferring.
Good news btw, we discussed this internally at Payara and I can announce that Payara would love to take the lead for some of the EJB to CDI migration work.
Kind regards,
Arjan Tijms
