This automatically generated message signals that Peter Krogh has nominated
Vikram Bhatia as a Committer on the rt.eclipselink project. The reason
given is as follows:
I nominate EclipseLink contributor Vikram Bhatia for full committer status
on the EclipseLink project.
Vikram is currently one of EclipseLink's most prolific contributors,
providing several fixes for bugs and enhancement requests.
Among the dozen bugs that Vikram has provided fixed fixes for, two stand
out as very challenging, requiring deep knowledge of the problem space and
code base:
270762 - CommitManager.initializeCommitOrder create random order so DB
deadlock. Vikram extended EclipseLink's weight based commit ordering to
provide a much improved and predictable ordering mechanism.
321473 - DeadLock in ConcurrencyManager because of deferred lock. Vikram
worked with the EclipseLink development team very closely to create two
separate fixes for a tricky concurrent deadlock situation, which was
impacting an EclipseLink user's production system.
The vote is being held via the MyFoundation portal: voters *must* use the
portal for the votes to be properly recorded. The voting will continue
until either all 29 existing Committers have voted or until they have been
given enough time to vote, even if they do not do so (defined as at least
one week). Vikram Bhatia must receive at least three +1s and no -1s for a
successful election.
