This sort of ambiguous question is in no way useful. Are you
asking a question or attempting to imply something?
As I clearly stated in my email this code change removes unused imports, unused private members and
unnecessary casts. This was an arbitrary choice that removes some of the
warnings issued by Eclipse. These items where chosen as they would have
the least impact on the code and diverge the least from the original TopLink
contribution until we pass the contribution merge stage. This transaction
was clearly not intending to comprehensively remove the warnings from
EclipseLink.
If you feel 'Assignment has no effect' warnings can be committed with marginal impact then perhaps you should
take the time to submit those changes as well.
