Re: [eclipsecon-na-program-committee] Another shortlist proposal

+1 for replacing Escape from Version Hell by Building an IDE for Apache Cassandra with Eclipse RCP, e4 and Xtext .

Hi,

I propose to replace Escape from Version Hell by Building an IDE for Apache Cassandra with Eclipse RCP, e4 and Xtext . I still think that the abstract for the talk Escape from Version Hell is quite weak and not catchy. The Cassandra talk OTOH is about a very concrete and popular technology that is used in the industry (also mentioned in the abstract). It would also be the only talk that represents e4 / RCP with a concrete use case in the conference program. We have two tutorials (good) and a new & noteworthy talk (also good) Eclipse platform news - What is cooking for Mars but we are currently lacking a nice e4 showcase that demonstrates the capabilities of the platform in total (UI and API / programming model). This submission would cover that topic.

Best,
Sebastian
