Re: [eclipsecon-na-program-committee] Update on the EclipseCon Na 2014

It does tend to get cluttered when there are lots of tags though. What I do is sort the talks by vote, which puts talks I have not reviewed together with the "no opinion" talks at the bottom. The sort order seems consistent so once the submission system is closed it is easy enough to keep track of what page you left off between voting sessions. I normally do one page of talks at a time and then take a break so I don't burn out ;)

Hi Pascal,

I could expose the operator on the Program Committee Tags filter. You could then, tag all the talks you don't want to vote on with a unique tag. You could use something like pascal-wont-vote with the "is none of" operator.

Would this work for you? Attached is an example, this is not a screenshot from the live site.

Cheers!

Hi Chris,

What is the best way for a PC member to see the talks that he has not reviewed?
Given that 0 is the default value and 1 is a rejection, I'm missing a place to say "won't vote" and then an ability to filter on this.

Hi all,

here are some answers to your questions:

Where should I post a bug against the EclipseCon website?
I suggest we start using bugzilla to track any problems with the EclipseCon website. Please post issues under the Community product and the EclipseCon component:
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/buglist.cgi?product=Community&component=EclipseCon&resolution=---&list_id=7418597

Could you add a mulit-select for the track filter?
Yes and it's now available.

How is it possible that a speaker replied to a PC comment?
This week a few speakers did receive a daily email digest when a pc comment was added to their talk. This is obviously not how I designed the system to work. I did write code to ignore the pc comment with the email subscription module https://drupal.org/project/subscriptions.

This was tested on staging and locally but with my luck this bug only occurred on production. There was a duplicate copy of one of my modules on production, one with a space at the end of the module folder name and the other one without a space. Needless to say, drupal was loading the wrong module.

The daily subscriptions are saved in the subscriptions_queue table. I did another sanity test today to make sure that things are working properly. I submitted a PC comment and I made sure that the comment was not added to the subscriptions_queue table. After this test, I submitted a public comment on a talk and that comment was added to the subscription queue.

Attached is a screenshot of a session with a pc comment. The left side, is from a user with access to the PC COMMENTS, the right side is the same page but from the perspective of the speaker.

I am currently subscribed to receive all possible digests from the EclipseCon website. I will monitor them closely for the next few days and make sure that the PC Comments are only visible from a user with the pc committee user role.

Sorry for this long e-mail but I felt you guys deserved an explanation.

Please let me know if you have any questions, concerns or comments regarding the website.

Cheers!
