We will try and come up with variety. That is, we don't want 5 JS talks or 5 modelling talks. Also, I don't think we should pick talks by the PC. The idea of the early bird talks is to give other people some ideas of what they can submit and start to highlight some cool content.

Right now we have 75 talks -- wow! Feel free to use the voting system for yourself (vote on talks), but once your done, send your 5 talks here. If you vote now, that's 75 less talks you'll need to vote on later.

On wednesday night I'll review what everyone sent me to see if anything obvious falls out. Then we can talk about them on Thursday.

Ian S. do you want us to consider Vert.x, M2M, PolarSys talks? Or will someone else be looking at these?

Cheers,
Ian

Any guidelines on what we should be looking for in early bird submissions?

Just to make sure we (I) understand.  We are not picking the top 5 with the voting system.  Instead you just want us to send in the top 5 submissions to you directly?

Also, I find the voting system a bit annoying.  I cannot easily tell what talks I have already voted on or even what my current vote is.

I've used https://www.eclipsecon.org/na2014/eclipsecon-admin/sessions
