Hi everyone,
As expected, several people could not make yesterday's call. Here is a summary, and some TODOs that we have.
1. We've started 0 for 2 with our Keynotes. Ian S. is going to continue to reach out to others including NASA. We've talked a bit about Grady Booch. Here is a video of his work Computing, the Human Experience [1]. If you get a chance, watch the video and comment here.
2. Start advertising the CfP to your networks / projects / organizations. I will work with the EMO to send notes to large reaching lists (like the committer list, and inclusion in the newsletter). Personalized notes to your projects / etc... will also help a lot. The CfP is at [2], and yes, we do have an early bird deadline.
3. Andrew and Pascal are going to put a Hack-a-thon session into the submission system. John, your feedback from the ECE one (once it happens) will be much appreciated.
4. We need to start looking at invited speakers. We came up with 12 ideas, and we should likely whittle this down to 5 or 6. I've created a poll at [3]. This is the first time I've created a Google Form, so please don't hack it ;-). Also, if you see anything glaringly wrong with how I did this, please let me know.
