Re: [eclipsecon-na-program-committee] Preparing for Monday
|
I also finished voting on most sessions. I left out the Modeling, DSL and Web category, as after a quick check I found that none of these talk appeal to me and voting on them would be unfair.
My voting is of course biased with my personal preferences but I tried to consider which topics would be of general interest to others. I also tend to upvote topics which would extend our reach as Eclipse community, for example the "Griffon and Eclipse 4" talk (
http://www.eclipsecon.org/2013/sessions/tale-2-platforms-eclipse4-and-griffon) would connect us with the Griffon and Groovy community.

John, Ian (and others).
I've gone through all the submissions (all except ALM Connect and OSGi Dev con) and voted on each one. I've left some comments, but not too many.
Originally I was 'assigned' to RT and Tools, however, these 'assignments' seem to have disappeared from the Wiki (John removed them Tuesday afternoon). I've written down a list of 10 talks for both RT and Tools (my two categories) that I would like to see. I figured I'll use these when we get closer to finalizing the program to help ensure things don't slip through the cracks.
Is there anything else we should do? Are we still going to 'champion' a category? Should I send my favorite talks for both RT and Tools to the list? Should we prepare anything regarding tutorials?
Cheers,
Ian
