We talked about the early bird selection process on the call today. Here is what we will do:

1) The early bird deadline is tomorrow end of day (Oct 31). I will record the number of the last talk that made the deadline, and send it to the list.
2) Each of us reviews the talks submitted up to the deadline, and picks their 5 favorites. Only pick standard length talks, and filter out the talks in the "ALM Connect" and "OSGi DevCON" tracks. Here is a query you can use:

3) send your list of 5 favorites to this list by NOON EDT Friday, November 2nd.
4) I will combine those over the weekend. Ian S and I will pick the top five from that set on Monday November 5th. I'll send a note to this list on Monday with the results and reasoning.

While you are reviewing proposals, you can feel free to start voting on talks now. That will cut down the amount of work to do when the rest of the submissions come in. You can use the "private comments" field in the submission system to write notes that only PC members can see.
