Re: [eclipsecon-na-program-committee] Draft EclipseCon 2013 Call for Papers
|
Lars,
Let me try to explain the reasoning but I am certainly not tied to this
wording or approach.
Themes is an attempt to explain what types of talks we would like, ie talks
about new Eclipse projects, talks about how people are using Eclipse
technologies, talks about working in open source projects and the 'other'
category or cool stuff.
Tracks are oriented towards technology groupings, ie Eclipse RT technology,
Modeling technology, Mobile technology, etc
The way I would map Mobile to the themes would be more on the best practices
theme. How are people using Eclipse and other technology to build mobile
applications.
Not sure if this helps?
Ian

I personally don't understand the relationship or difference between themes
and tracks. Cool Stuff appears in both categories, I can't map for example
Mobile to any theme.
