Re: [eclipsecon-na-program-committee] keynote suggestions

I've updated the wiki with the suggestions as well as links to videos where the various speakers talk about their topics.

You guys may want to consider Donna Roy from the National Information Exchange Model (NIEM), they are doing lots with Open Source and NIEM is starting to become the back bone of the Gov 2.0 initiative.

Could also do a panel on the topic as well.

Thinking more about it, I really like your suggestion on a speaker about
open source and government. It would be different from the usual
EclipseCon content, but given the potential attendee base in the D.C
area, it might help attract more local people to the conference. Perhaps
a past keynote from GOSCON could be roped in, or someone like Alexander
B. Howard who is tapped into that community. There seems to be a growing
interesting in "open data" in governments, and encouraging mobile/web
application development to tap into that data (opengovernmentdata.org,
data.gov, www.data.gc.ca, etc). I think this has potential for interest
to a wide variety of Eclipse projects, including runtimes, modeling,
data tools, and language tools.

I have started a list of potential keynote speakers for EclipseCon 2012.
Please add any suggestions you might have to the list.

Thanks
Ian
