Planning Council,
Your +1 is requested. Please vote.
I believe these are the two changes for which a respin is being
requested for the Photon.RC4 Simrel staging repo, and for the JavaEE
and CDT EPP packages:

https://git.eclipse.org/r/#/c/124633/

Thanks,
Nick

Lazy consensus doesn't apply here. Fred needs a clear statement from
the Eclipse Planning Council.
Nick, since you are a member of the Planning Council and have already
engaged, can you send a request to
eclipse.org-planning-council@xxxxxxxxxxx
<mailto:eclipse.org-planning-council@xxxxxxxxxxx> with an explicit
request for a vote to respin?
Thanks,
Wayne

I'm on the Planning Council. +1 for respin (if you also include my
fix for the JavaEE EPP bundle [1]). :)

I’m on the PMC. Again, Alex, our rep, and the rest of the

BTW, every minute we wait, assuming the request is approved,
pushes everything back.

It's not about "watching". You have to go to your PMC and the
PMC to the Planning Council.

Hi Patrick,
I'm aware of the process for a respin... and right now I'm
waiting, too, but haven't seen anything on any of the other
mailing lists. My expectation is that we'll soon have a
respin, first for the SimRel p2 repository, then for all the
packages.
@Doug, is the Tools PMC going to forward this request to the
Planning Council?
Thanks,
Markus

Hi Markus
Scout does not contain any incubation components.
Regarding testing: Will there be a respin now that Doug
Schaefer requested one for CDT? (and when?)
Because according to Wiki:SimRel/RelEng:How to do a respin
<https://wiki.eclipse.org/SimRel/Simultaneous_Release_Engineering#How_to_do_a_re-spin>,
the planning council should decide this, and I see nothing on
their mailing list
<https://dev.eclipse.org/mhonarc/lists/eclipse.org-planning-council/>.
If there is a respin, we’ll test the respun version –
otherwise, we’ll have to test the version from Markus’ mail.
Regards,
Patrick

Hi Package Maintainers,
here is the slightly delayed RC4 candidate:
https://ci.eclipse.org/packaging/job/photon.epp-tycho-build/340/artifact/org.eclipse.epp.packages/archive/
<https://ci.eclipse.org/packaging/job/photon.epp-tycho-build/340/artifact/org.eclipse.epp.packages/archive/>
The following p2 repositories have been used to assemble the
packages, and should be used for testing updates:
http://download.eclipse.org/technology/epp/packages/photon/RC4
<http://download.eclipse.org/technology/epp/packages/photon/RC4>
http://download.eclipse.org/staging/photon/
<http://download.eclipse.org/staging/photon/>
This is the last RC unless there are stop ship bugs detected
during quiet week. Please test it carefully and send your
results to this mailing list until Tuesday.
In addition to the usual votes, I'm asking you to state that
your package does not contain any parts from incubating
projects. Or, if it does, please list them.
Thanks,
Markus
