Re: [eclipse.org-planning-council] DSDP-NAB on Ganymatic (was: Ganymede by project)

I'm all for inclusion & forgiving mistakes, but isn't one of the requirements for participation that you, um, test the Ganymede site to ensure your bits can be installed from there? Surely if this project had been testing the Ganymede staging site this would have been caught & fixed months ago.

"Projects must have stated and demonstrated their intent to join Ganymede by the M4+0 date. Projects do so by adding themselves to the table/list above and to the Ganymede common build infrastructure. " (http://wiki.eclipse.org/Ganymede#Must_Do, #10)

I'm not saying we should exclude them, only that for next year's release we might want to enforce the 'Must Dos' and cross-project installation testing at the M4 date (instead of during the late RCs), and be more vocal about the consequences of missing that deadline. Surprises like this can be avoided if we collectively -- and particularly the component leads -- take more time to test that their end-users can actually download, install, and run their bits. :)
