Re: [eclipse.org-planning-council] A suggested topic for PlanningCouncil Discussion

I'd like to suggest or remind the Planing Council members review the minutes from our last meeting in June, before our meeting on Tuesday.

especially the section on
Europa Retrospective; Ganymede Thoughts

I found them interesting and helpful.

Scott,
Excellently said, and I think you've hit on one of the two keys questions being discussed:

1.        What should the release train be? (Taking into account that the community seems to think that it is a polished product and that the projects do not have the resources to do cross-project testing.)
2.        Who should decide and enforce the requirements of the release train and/or packages?

To abuse this metaphor a little:  why wouldn't/shouldn't the train be focused on the needs of the consumers (car buyers) as much as or more than the car manufacturers?
