[eclipse.org-planning-council] RE: [cross-project-issues-dev] Ganymede release - question

Hi Nick,

Thank you for your reply. But I wonder if there are other projects hosted on
SVN, which use org.eclipse.releng.basebuilder? I see Buckminster, Spaces,
Swordfish and few others, which are located at SVN repository. Anybody know
how these projects are built? If they already use some SVN-related utilities
then it makes sense to share them and improve infrastructure. Our team can
participate in tools extension.

Best regards,

org.eclipse.releng.basebuilder, AFAIK, only works with CVS
repositories, so you may have to write you own method of fetching
sources from SVN.

As long as you produce an update site with site*.xml file(s) and jars,
you can participate. (You also need a site digest and packed jars.)
See http://wiki.eclipse.org/Ganymede

The ganymatic build just pulls from your update site on
download.eclipse.org in order to produce the combined site. See
http://wiki.eclipse.org/Ganymede/Build

Past precendet says that yes, incubating projects/components can
participate provided that they follow all the Must Do rules. See
http://wiki.eclipse.org/Ganymede#Must_Do
