RE: [eclipse.org-planning-council] Callisto minutes from lastweekposted

I’ll let David respond on which issue(s) are blocking him.

The other two sentences were, as much as anything, a recognition that we need to involve Denis as someone knowledgeable on the infrastructure sooner rather than later, since he can educate the Callisto team w.r.t. any special steps we need to take around both milestone and release dates to help ensure success (or at least minimize risks).

Re: " Kevin: Can we confirm that the infrastructure is up to the download challenge? (DavidW: Blocking bug open against intermittent problems. Operational issues with bandwidth need to be raised to Eclipse Webmasters in advance; see AI below.) "

Denis has has been working on the bandwidth and infrastructure issues for quite a while now. He is well aware of Callisto. The Eclipse Foundation is working with our ISP to increase our bandwidth from its current 60Mbps to 300Mbps. There will also be multiple machines dedicated to downloads.

But how any of us can presume to predict whether even 300mbps is enough beats the heck outta me. There also has to be a recognition that the Foundation does not have unlimited resources. Bandwidth is not free. That's why the 24 hours to populate the mirrors is going to be absolutely key to our success.

Is the bug DavidW is referring to 128350? If so, there is no indication in the bug that it is "blocking". We are not aware of any infra bugs which are blocking Callisto. If there is one, could someone please let us know ASAP?
