A proposal has been made to establish the Eclipse Continuum Interest Group [1].
The intent of the Eclipse Continuum Interest Group is to bring together researchers, industry experts, and developers in an open source community to advance the discussion of seamless computing infrastructures spanning cloud, edge, IoT, and far-edge environments.
The group will focus on interoperability, orchestration, workload portability, security, and data management across the computing continuum. Its goal is to accelerate innovation and help build scalable, resilient, sustainable, and sovereign computing ecosystems for next-generation applications, while establishing a strong European open source community around the computing continuum.
The current founding members of Eclipse Continuum are:
We invite Eclipse Foundation Members to learn more and consider participating. All Eclipse Foundation Members are eligible to join the Interest Group, with no additional membership fees.
If your organisation is interested in participating, please subscribe to the Interest Group’s [mailing list] [2] and indicate your company interest there.
In accordance with the Eclipse Foundation [Interest Group Process] [3], the Interest Group is expected to be formally established shortly.
