[eclipse.org-membership-at-large] openGENESIS Working Group
A proposal has been made to establish the openGENESIS Working Group .
The mission of the openGENESIS Working Group is to provide methods and
tools for the assessment of artificial intelligence (AI) used for
autonomous driving. AI algorithms should be proved to be safe and
roadworthy before deployed to public road. openGENESIS drives and
supports the investigations of a verifiable, understandable, and
certifiable AI. The working group will supply public and regulatory
authorities with necessary approaches to deal with the challenges of
approval and certification of AI.
openGENESIS provides a collaboration platform for knowledge exchange
among members. The members can cooperate with each other efficiently and
provide the results via an open forum. openGENESIS enables research with
direct access to practice and safety relevant challenges.
The proposed charter for this working group is available for
review. If you have any comments or feedback on the proposed charter,
please send them to the mailing list . All Members of the Eclipse
Foundation are invited to join and participate in this working group.
If you are interested, please send an e-mail to the mailing list .
Based on the feedback and level of interest, the working group will be
officially created in Q4 2018.
More information on the goals of openGENESIS can also be found in a
press release issued by the German TÜV Süd
Please feel free to contact myself, Ralph Mueller (cc'd above), or the
