Declaration for the IDE4EDU Project

The Eclipse IDE for Education (IDE4EDU) is a proposed open-source project under the Eclipse Technology project (http://www.eclipse.org/proposals/ide4edu/). IDE4EDU is a version of Eclipse streamlined specifically for use by university and college students. The environment provides support for programming languages that are commonly used in university courses, including Java, Scheme, and Prolog.

You are invited to comment on and/or join the project. Please send all feedback to the http://www.eclipse.org/newsportal/thread.php?group=eclipse.ide4edu newsgroup.

Please note: the newsgroup has not yet been created, but should be available within 48 hours.
