-Donald from the Foundation circulated some slides on
leveraging your sponsorship at EclipseCon – email donald at eclipse dot
org if you need a copy
-Donald’s main advice is to remember the business
development and brand awareness opportunities as sponsorship at EclipseCon is
much more than lead generation
-Ian is compiling a press list and it will be circulated to
members next week – please forward it on to your public relations agency
-Ian is working on a community press release which will give
a summary of all member product announcements at EclipseCon
-More details on the community press release will be sent
out soon
-Reminder that there will be a press interview room
available for your use at the conference – an email will be sent with
instructions on how to book time slots

– March 23 in the afternoon
-There will be some guest speakers, introductions of new
members and project updates
-A reception for members will follow the meeting

3. Executive Strategy Summit

-The summit is for executives who are responsible for their
organizations open source strategy and participation
-The purpose of event is to answer two questions: 1) What
Open Source Strategies Are Working Today? and 2) What Will Work in the Future?.
-There will be industry speakers, case studies and group discussions
that analyze the different aspects of an open source strategy
4. Eclipse Training Series

-Eclipse members can once again participate in a training
series for RCP, Equinox and Modeling classes
-Classes follow a common course outline and are organized
locally by each member company

-The Foundation wants to facilitate in-person networking at
member-organized events
-Past success include the Banking Days, EclipsIST and
