·     Budget being finalized
·     Sponsorship packages are under development
·     Speakers lined up and include analysts and will be announced shortly

EclipseCon 2006
·     Exhibitor packages are out, Ian is encouraging companies to sign up
·     Registration is open and member companies have a discount. Early bird
registration is December 31st.
o     $725 if you register before Dec 31
o     The first 200 people who register for the conference and the
tutorial, will receive Eclipse RCP book
·     Reminder
o     Deadline for Tutorials submissions: November 1st
o     Deadline for Technical Talks submissions: November 15th

·     New: Eclipse Community Awards will be given out at EclipseCon. There
are two types of awards: Individual and Technology or Product Awards.
Nominations will be essays or product write up
o     Individual Contributors: Voted by community.
o     Technology or Product Awards: Best commercial product, best open
source development tool, best open source RCP product, best deployment.
§     Looking for judges, however if you are a judge your company can’t
submit a product for award review
§     Judges will read submission, and then make a short list of 5 or 6
products to review in depth. Then, there will be webinars, about a half
hour in length, to discuss of product and avoid having the judges download
the software to their machines.
