Re: [eclipse.org-eclipsecon-program-committee] Community Outreach

Hi Roxanne,
first, please tell me what to do to get your last name, that would be a cool combination! :-)

Second, here is my information:

Jonas Helming, EclipseSource Munich, Jonas is project lead of the EMF Client Platform [1] and the EMFStore [2] project. As an active part of the Eclipse community, he regularily writes articles and blog entries [3], he organizes Democamps and speaks at various Eclipse events.

[1] eclipse.org/emfclient
[2] eclipse.org/emfstore
[3] eclipsesource.com/blogs/author/jhelming/

My picks:
1. The future of Eclipse, as innovation at Eclipse should always continue. http://www.eclipsecon.org/europe2012/sessions/eclipse-5
2. Highly Interactive Mobile Apps with RAP, not because it is a colleague of mine, but I think cross-platform is really hot! http://www.eclipsecon.org/europe2012/sessions/highly-interactive-mobile-apps-rap
3. GEF4 - Share and Enjoy..., after e4 GEF4 may be another revolution, http://www.eclipsecon.org/europe2012/sessions/gef4-share-and-enjoy
4. An Inspirational World Tour: Remarkable Applications Built on Eclipse, I like to see what people develop based on Eclipse
5. Finally and even though I organize this one: The Modeling Symposium, because it always provides an interesting overview about emerging technologies. http://www.eclipsecon.org/europe2012/sessions/modelling-symposium

EclipseCon PC Members,

We would like to start a series of blog post that highlight each PC members favourite EclipseCon Europe talks. Our hope is these will help create some interest and registrations for the conference.

Roxanne Joncas, who has recently joined the Eclipse Foundation, will be helping create these blog post for the EclipseCon web site. It would be appreciated if each PC member could send Roxanne the following:

1)      Name, Company and short 2 sentence description about your involvement with Eclipse.

2)      5 talks that you think will be interesting to attend.  Also why you think they are interesting.

If you send these to Roxanne, she will create the blog post on the web site, have you approve them before publishing and then post them on the site. I would suggest you send them directly to Roxanne, so to not create extra traffic on this list.

Thanks

Ian
