Re: [eclipse.org-eclipsecon-program-committee] ece program

Hey Christian!

I did all this.. However I admit that the slots next to "Eclipse 5" stayed empty for a long time during this week since I assumed that nobody wanted to miss this.

Awesome!!! Thanks a lot for these changes!!!

@John: Do you read this ? People have high expectations...... :-)

So if Jonas now complains that "he know Maximilian who doesnt want to miss Eclipse 5" then I let you two sort this out who "wins" :-)

Then we need to find another candidate to put in parallel to Eclipse 5... ;-)

Cheers,
-Martin

Hey Christian!

schedule is complete :-) in Google Doc...Please have a look and comment...

The program looks good, great job!!!

I have just some minor wishes:

- can I change my slot ("Embracing Eclipse Orion") on Tuesday
16:30-17:00 with a slot on Wednesday morning (maybe the "Large Scale Development with Git and Gerrit", 11:30-12:00)? the reason: I think it makes more sense to have the introductory talk about Orion (extended talk on Tuesday afternoon) before my talk on embracing orion. And I also would like giving my talk on a Wednes morning more than Tuesday afternoon.

- I would like to get the talk on "Build, Stage, Review, Merge" (Tuesday
15:30-16:00) to a different location to not have this in parallel with "Eclipse 5". I know Benjamin and Steffen and they would be very very disappointed, I guess, to not be able to go to the Eclipse 5 talk. Maybe exchange with "Fuzzy Testing" on Wednesday early afternoon (13:30-14:00).

Would be awesome if you could take this into account!!!

Thanks a lot, Christian!!!

Cheers,
-Martin

Thanks for the feedback..I changed the scheduling for the talk from Wayne.

The tutorials had room sizes in the google doc for a week now and I
have marked Tycho and e4 as the XL talks. (nobody said anything).
Simply I put the tutorials with the highest votes in the largest room.
Tycho is far beyond anyone else. Now moving Tycho in a small room
seems not justifiable.

But I agree we can switch once we know the registration numbers..

Hi Christian,

the distribution basically looks good from my point of view. I
couldn't find any critical overlap of topics.
Also, I could find sessions in every slot that would interest me
personally - not that this is a hard criteria, but maybe it could give
us an indication if that's the case for all of us.
So yes, you are doing ok, I think ;-)

A couple of thoughts though:

* I'm not sure about the first 3 tutorials. I reckon the crowd for e4
and orion will be bigger than for tycho. But I might be wrong. As far
as I understand there is preregistration for the tutorials anyway, so
that can be adjusted once the numbers are there, hence probably is a no-issue.

* Tuesday 17:00-18:00: I'd expect the majority going to Modeling
Symposium and Orion. So maybe switch rooms for Orion and Mockito?

* "Revise the Eclipse Development Process" not sure the slot (wed,
13:30) is so good - imho it shoud at least be before a break. Or even
better: On Tuesday, so there could be a BoF as a follow-up?

Cheers,
Simon
